Tales of the Rose Rabbit Poems The Witches of Doyle Book 5 edition by Kirsten Weiss Lenore Bonheim Literature Fiction eBooks
This is a book of poems written by a fictional woman in the Doyle Witches trilogy. It tells the story of the Rose Rabbit, who makes appearances throughout the trilogy, and is instrumental at the end. These poems are sad and haunting as they spotlight the hope of the Rose Rabbit, which turns to despair and pain when he loses his Queen. They are superbly written, atmospheric, descriptive, and emotional. They are written in third person, but it is obvious we are looking through his eyes as his history unfolds. They are powerful and did illuminate a portion of the books, but not in the way I expected. I thought it was going to be a book of prose, but it was much more. The poems expressed, through the eyes of this Queen's knight, reveal much more than simple prose may have done. Every time I read one of the books in this trilogy, I was surprised. I never got anything right. That was fine with me. It isn't often that happens, and my hat is off to anyone who has the talent to fool me. If you have been following my reviews of this trilogy, you know I esteem the writing craft of Kirsten Weiss. I don't know her and read one of her books from a giveaway and was floored. I have been coming back to her books , reading them as a treat to myself. I even paid for them, which is a sacrifice for me. The point is this: I have nothing to gain in heaping praise on this author; I truly think her books are great. I hope you try something and enjoy it as much as I have this trilogy.Product details
